Iris Society of the Ozarks

On September 10, 1989, the Iris Society of the Ozarks voted to become affiliated with the American Iris Society. In May 1994, The Iris Society of the Ozarks hosted its first AIS Regional Convention and Show.

Currently, The Iris Society of the Ozarks meets 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. on the third Saturday of each month from September through April at the Springfield-Greene County Botanical Center at 2400 South Scenic Avenue. Meetings consist of a program on a subject of interest to people who grow Irises and a business meeting. In addition, the society hosts an Iris Show in May and an Iris Sale in late summer. All times, dates, and locations are subject to change with updated information provided to the membership through e-mail and postcards.  Dues are $5.00 per person per year.
